Jacopo Bufacchi
Big Mountain, ITA
Jacopo grew up in Courmayeur at the foot of Mont Blanc. At the age of three when he began his climbing and skiing career. As a youngster, Jacopo was a Junior Italian Champion in ski racing, and well on his way to the national team. But instead of becoming the next ‘La Bomba' Tomba, Jacopo decided to take his skills to the big hills. He became an aspirant guide at the age of 18 and one of the youngest UIAGM certified mountain guides at 22 as well as one of the most popular freeriders.
Jacopo works for the Mountain Recue and is an instructor for guide course. For some years he has also educated the local Bolivian Mountain Guides, which have made them the first certified Mountain Rescue in South America.
With an aggressive yet controlled style, Jacopo uses his incredible insight of the mountains to find the good snow and steep lines around the world.
