What, in your life is most awarding?
At the moment it's seeing the progress of all the work put into training & taking it to the races and checking the results afterwards!
What gives you energy and lets you think about other things than biking?
Going for a ride or a run in the woods on my own makes me disconnect and think about other things then racing.
What do you do to unwind?
Kick my brothers ass on playstation or table hockey ;O)
Best idea of having good time?
Me & a couple of friends riding our local pump-track or a good day´s riding in muddy Åre.
Favorite reading?
Definitely "The Dirt" by Mötley Crue.
Favorite food?
Italian
Favorite music?
Everything from hip-hop to heavy metal.
Favorite place to travel to?
Andorra was cool. But I have to say Schladming-Austria has to be the n.o 1 place. Almost forgot, South Africa was really special. Super humid!
What is your favorite city to visit and why?
Dont like big city's for some reason. I prefer the countryside.
Favorite spots and resorts?
Åre- I just love the village, the riding & the people. Its like home.
Where do you preferably spend your time off?
In my family's cabin by a lake in a place called Sågmyra. Its home.
Biking since?
oh, dont know, early I guess. But I started racing a bit year 2000.
What started you biking?
My older cousin Herman got me into it. We now fight about the podiums...
Why do you ride?
Because I love it and it just feels natural. It has been a way of life for me and I would find it hard to be without it. It is now my profession.
Best part of biking?
When everything just seems to "click". One of those days just makes it worht it.
Hardest part?
Being injured and not riding the way I know I can is hard on my head.
Weakness?
Hm, my head sometimes.
Most important people in your life and career?
Definetly my mum & dad, my brother and all the friends I ride and have been riding with along the way.
Worst moment in career?
Crashing at Worlds 2010. Mostly because I was so focused and prepared for that race. Also breaking my handlebars at Worlds -08 was one of my worst crashes ever.
Best moment in career?
Winning the European Champs in Hafjell, Norway. It felt great because I had had a rough season leading up to it and I was definitely not the favorite.
General career goals?
Get into the top of the sport.
Most respected bikers?
Johan Engström, Herman Ölund, Nicolas Voullioz
Other most respected athletes?
Stefan Everts, Ricky Carmichael (MX) and generally all athletes that at the top of any sport.
Advice to beginners?
Keep it fun-
A training week?
Ride XC, do some DH-runs, go to the pump-track, if not racing at the weekend I do a full moto on the motocross-bike and go ride DH on sunday. Druing the winter I go to the gym & swim a lot during the weeks and also try to visit the indoor skatepark at lest once a week to just be on a bike when its to much snow.
Training "secret"?
The variation in my training & riding has given me a lot of all round skills wich has helped me along sometimes.
I also try to keep it fun as much as possible to stay motivated.
Occupation If I was not a professional biker?
I would work full time with my distribution company and be a weekend warrior...
