Looking forward to an extremely interesting Race season!!! (10/23/2009)
The World Cup premiere in Soelden is just around the corner. The start of a very inspiring season for POC and our team athletes, with the Olympics as the crowning of years of focus, training and determination.
POC has signed a new three year contract with the Swedish Ski Pool. Mattias Hargin, André Myhrer, Patrik Järbyn and Maria Pietilä Holmner and many other athletes will join the POC team.
Besides our Swedish athletes, we are looking forward to following Julia Mancuso. Last season, Julia struggled with an aching back. She is now feeling stronger than ever and is looking forward to reliving her sweet memories of Turin 2006.
Steven Nyman and Scott Macartney of the US team are both full of energy with the Olympics coming up on "home-continent-turf". Last season was an "in-between" but the guys tell us "just wait and see". And we will. Cheering!
Finally, there is Chemmy Alcott of the UK who made her break through this past season and honestly, we wouldn't be surprised if it's Chemmy that will be the one, achieving the unexpected. She's capable of a podium in Whistler, for sure!
