POC continues its move into the road bike scene and partners with Ritte Bicycles to form the POC + Ritte Cycling Team. POC, a leading manufacturer of skiing and mountain biking helmets, goggles and body armor, has established a partnership with California-based Ritte Bicycles. The first initiative between the two companies is the POC + Ritte Cycling Team where POC will provide the apparel, helmets and eyewear for enhanced performance and to promote safety. “It was a relief to stumble across Ritte. They have an outstanding approach to design, color and graphics and we are very proud to have the team riding with the full POC kit.“ says Stefan Ytterborn, POC CEO and founder. “Cycling is not only about crossing the finish line first, but to have fun. The team’s passionate, positive and enthusiastic attitude to road cycling simply makes you happy.” The team will be competing in amateur road races in the Western United States and field a roster of 17 cyclists, including State Champions as well as lawyers, school teachers, architects, actors and NASA employees. “We are excited to be fielding this team with POC and are already blown away by the quality and function of POC’s products.” says Spencer Canon, founder of Ritte Bicycles. “I really think POC will revolutionize the way cyclists think about helmets and I’m proud that we can be an early adopter.” The collaboration with Ritte is another interesting partnership for POC.
