The Skull Dura Comp SPIN ski race helmet gives certified protection and is developed for a fit that causes no distractions at the very highest speeds ski racers reach.
The ski race helmet features our new fit technology, Race Lock. The innovative system ensures ski racers can lock the helmet tightly to their head to minimise vibrations at the very high speeds reached in elite racing. Developed so that the adjustment system does not interfere with the race position, Race Lock turnwheel technology sits perfectly in line with the helmet shell and can be adjusted with gloves on so you can fine-tune your fit in the start hut immediately before a race run.
The Skull Dura Comp ski race helmet is certified to FIS RH 2013 standards. Safety features in the helmet include a VPD (visco-elastic polymer dough) deflector panel for protection from repeat impacts. VPD can absorb and dissipate impact forces over and over again without losing any of its protective properties. The helmet also includes aramid penetration protection and a multi-impact EPP liner.
Ear pads are removable, so it is easier for medics to safely remove the helmet if an injury has been sustained. Other features include a Fidlock® buckle that can be operated with gloves on, SPIN silicone pad technology and a fixed goggle clip. The helmet is compatible with the POC Maxilla Breakaway chin guard.
Item No. 10175
POC helmets are made of advanced materials that provide maximum protection. Do not expose your helmet to impact or external force during transport. Store it in a dry place, away from any source of heat like a hot radiator or sunshine through a car window. Clean the helmet with a damp cloth and perhaps a little mild liquid soap. Do no use strong detergent or solvents. Decals, glue etc. may reduce durability. Helmets are ”perishables” that should be replaced after three years of use. If you know or suspect that your helmet has been damaged or exposed to any abnormal force, you should have it carefully checked by an authorized POC dealer. You can also send or bring it in to POC for inspection. Damage that may reduce your helmet’s protective qualities can be invisible and difficult to detect. Replace the helmet if there is any sign or suspicion of damage.
Compatible with Maxilla Breakaway system (sold separately)
