Bib shorts are an intrinsic part of any good day out on the bike and must perform at all levels, which is why we have created the Essential Road VPDs bib shorts to be the ideal companion for all types of riding. The Essential Road VPDs bib shorts have dynamic properties and have been constructed with stretch and compression fabrics to ensure an optimal fit and function. The compact structure of the fabric supports your muscles, which helps circulation and recovery, whilst the integrated stretch and flatlock seam construction provides the optimal level of comfort and flexibility. POC's unique silicone based VPDs chamois technology has been designed to bring a new level of comfort and function to cycling bibs. The silicon inserts have been strategically placed to reduce road vibrations and pressure points, whilst the chamois material around the silicon inserts has been optimized for enhanced airflow and reduced chaffing. The Essential Road VPDs bib shorts have a 4.5 cm elasticated leg ending for a secure fit and have a highly breathable and flexible suspender for enhanced comfort and feel. The bib shorts also feature a pocket in the rear mesh for small items and small reflective tabs on the rear to for improve rider visibility and safety.

bibs because of my body type -- anywhere from a large to a double XL depending on the manufacturer. So, here's a little detail about sizing ... at least as it pertains to me. Some measurements for me: I'm 6'3" and 190 lbs. From the floor to my hip bone measures 42.5". Hip bone to top of shoulders measures 19". I'm a bit leggy. I got the XLs and, all around, they fit snug, but comfortable. The bottom of the shorts sit 4.5" above the center of my knee when standing. A wee bit high but completely Ok. There is no silicone thigh gripper on the inside bottom of the shorts. The bottom of the thicker lycra portion of the legs grips my thigh fine and there's an inch or so of thin stretchy material below that (you can see it in the description pic) that sits comfortably
